The Kite’s Tale- The story of the Red Kite in Wales" by Roger Lovegrove. (hardback) priced at £45 (excl; postage & packing) This book was published in 1990 and is not easily available. It’s a brilliant introduction to the natural history of the Red Kite in Wales. This second-hand copy is in good condition.

(hardback) priced at £22.50p (excl; p&p) Published in 2001 this book is the first detailed monograph on the species in English it describes the history of the Red Kite giving a full account of its status up to 2001 following its introduction to other parts of Britain. Highly recommended reading.

The Red Kites of Wales”- the second edition of the booklet was published in 2005 and is written by two distinguished “Kite” men, Tony Cross & Peter Davis, it gives a current overview of the situation of kites in Wales. (paperback) priced at £4.95p (excl; p&p)

In Search of Birds in Wales”- by Brian O’Shea. (paperback) priced at £7.95p (excl; p&p) published in 2000. A nice little book covering the whole of Wales and giving a regional guide to good birdwatching locations.

Where to Watch Birds in Wales”- by David Saunders. (paperback) priced at £14.99p (excl; p&p) published in 2000 (3rd edition). An indispensable guide on where to birdwatch in Wales by an eminent Ornithologist.

"The Island"- by Ronald Lockley. 1st edition copy published in 1969 (hardback) priced at £30 (excl p&p)The book is in good condition but the cover is slightly shelf soiled. It describes life on Skokholm Island in Pembrokeshire which Lockley farmed and where he conducted pioneering field studies on the migration of the Manx Shearwater. A delightful book written by a distinguished naturalist of the old school.

Birds and Wild Africa”- by William Condry (hardback) priced at £25 (excl; p&p) 1st edition 1967. This second-hand copy is slightly (shelf) soiled & the dust jacket has slight tearing. Unfortunately too the 1st page of the inside cover has a gift inscription in biro by a previous owner. However, the book is not commonly available and is a good read. Written by the distinguished naturalist and author following his trip to East Africa with his wife Penny.
