Standard fee for a full day tour

 1 adult  - £80
 2 adults - £120
 3 adults - £130
 4 adults - £140
     
Maximum of 4 adults

Young people under the age of 16 yrs can travel for "free" if accompanied by
one or more adults.

Half Day Tour

A 'Must' for Red Kite enthusiasts would be a half day tour to one of the Red Kite feeding stations situated at either Gigrin farm in Rhayader or the Bwlch Nant-yr-Arian Forest Centre near Ponterwyd in Ceredigion. The fees for these tours are:-

Gigrin Farm           £65 per trip (Maximum of 6 persons)

Bwlch Nant-yr-Arian   £50 per trip (Maximum of 6 persons)

*Clients can be collected from Machynlleth or Aberystwyth.*

Booking Conditions

Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.

Prices include guiding fees, transport costs (except boat fees) and tea/coffee. You may store packed lunches in a cool box on board the vehicle, or stop at a café. Toilets are located close to all tour bases.

Payment is required in full at the time of booking. We accept cash or cheques only which should be made payable to ‘Mr. E. R. Pugh’

All the tours commence from the town of Machynlleth. Your guide can pick clients up from the railway station if desired.

Tour vehicle

The vehicle we presently use for all our bird tours is a 7 seater Isuzu Trooper. This means that groups will be small and informal.

Welsh Kite Trust

Elfyn Pugh who runs the venture 'Red Kite Safaris' conducts voluntary work on behalf of the 'Welsh Kite Trust' in monitoring the Red Kite breeding population in the Machynlleth area of mid-Wales and therefore fully supports the conservation and monitoring work that the trust undertakes to protect the Red Kite population of Wales. Guests who participate in a 'Red Kite Safari' with my venture are encouraged to become sponsors of the 'Welsh Kite Trust' in order to support the important work of this organisation. Sponsor packs will be available on the day of the tour.
